Shanda Literature Limited (SDL) was established in July 2008. It manages the literature business of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited.

SDL has under its banner the six most important original Chinese literature websites: www.qidian.com, www.hongxiu.com, www.jjwxc.net, www.rongshuxia.com. www.readnovel.com and www.xxsy.net.

SDL has already accumulated the copyrights to the astonishing figure of almost 550 million pages worth of original Chinese literature, which is still increasing at the incredible rate of 65,000 pages a day. The average daily page view volume is around 400 million while the highest has exceeded 500 million. SDL has taken up more than ninety percent of the online original literature market in China.
